About Me
I moved up from the south-east of England after graduating University in 2019. I was a member at the student station then became a station manager (1 of 7) as apart of my dissertation and loved every second and knew radio is what I wanted to do, and there's no better place to start than hospital radio! I enjoy listening to indie, pop, folk and acoustic which I think reflects on my show Thursday nights. My interest are podcasts, coffee, dogs and Animal Crossing.
Why Do You Volunteer for Highland Hospital Radio
Getting onto the radio industry mean to gather as much experience as possible but that isn't the main reason. Back when I was 10 I was in hospital with a ruptured appendix which lead to further complications to my health, making my stay a total of 7 weeks. I was very lucky to have my family, friends and nurses who were always visiting so I know how important it can be to have a ''friend at your bedside''. With the struggles everyone has overcome in the past couple of years, i knew it was my time to get stuck in and hopefully make someone's evening talking about the music I enjoy, funny news of the week or just playing their favourite songs on air.
What was the first song you got with your own money?
Well this is embarrassing, I think it was Bob the Builder: The Album
What is your favourite album?
Currently it's Holly Humberstone: The Walls Are Way Too Thin. Of all time Wanted on Voyage by George Ezra, I remember getting the early bus to college only to stand and wait for HMV to open to be the first to buy it. And yes, I got the expanded version.
What is the song that you play to get you in a good mood?
Juliet and Romeo by Martin Solvieg and Roy Woods. Perfect driving tune too!
