About Me

I have been a volunteer with Hospital Radio in Inverness for over 30 years following a year with Radio Tayside, Hospital Radio, in Dundee. My interest in music moved from part-time DJ to broadcasting when I moved to Inverness. Working in the NHS introduced me to ways that a stay in hospital could be improved and playing requests for patients in hospital was a great service. I would like to think my broadcasting is better than my golf handicap.

Why Do You Volunteer for Highland Hospital Radio

Providing music and requests ( and messages as required) for those who may be dealing with an illness or hospital stay, offering a more personal connection. A request and short message from a family member or friend who is unable to visit in person, may bring a smile .
