Since 1970 volunteers have sought to provide a radio service to patients at staff in Inverness as Inverness Hospital Radio.

Where as technology limited the service to Raigmore in the past, now we are able to broadcast online. Thanks to the rollout of Free Patient Wi-Fi across the whole NHS Highland area, we want everyone listening to feel that this is their Hospital Radio service.

With that in mind, we've changed our identity to Highland Hospital Radio.

We want patients and staff across the region to feel that this is their community radio, a local voice for them. We also want people to feel that they can join us and volunteer wherever they are, either as presenters, ward visitors or any number of roles it takes to make a radio station work.
