Unexpected Support in the Bagging Area!
For the past year shoppers at the Co-Op have been able to choose to support Highland Hospital Radio as their local cause on their membership card.
We were blown away to find out that the total you have raised for us was £2006.05!
Our Fundraising Co-Ordinator Helen MacPherson popped in to meet the team from Wester Inshes Co-Op to say thank you for this incredible support.
Tom Nelson, Chair of Highland Hospital Radio, said 'We are so incredibly grateful to the Co-Op for running this scheme to support local good causes and of course the many shoppers who chose to support us at Highland Hospital Radio!'
In the same round of funding in our area £1400 was raised for the local Girl Guiding unit and £2643 raised for Special Needs Action Project (SNAP). Meaning a staggering £6000 given to local causes.
The money given to Highland Hospital Radio will go towards our new Outside Broadcast unit which will mean we can get to NHS Highland facilities and events across the region, bringing hospital radio to everyone! Look out for us next year!
